Background[]
Growing up on the wealthy side of town, Nova always got the best of luck. A lot of strange things happened to him as a child, but he was always lucky enough to escape, as oblivious as before. He'd always loved to run and race people, and his gym teacher always tells him he's a future track star.
He's very smart and quick to understand things, but with his dyslexia, he gets extra help from his peers. He's skipped a few grades.
He's always wanted to be a normal kid, so he's been going to an ordinary school called Meriweather and took a job as a paperboy, which he loves. He's been noticing strange occurances around him lately, such as devilish-looking women who see him at the door delivering the paper and inviting him for supper. Of course, he's always been smart enough to say no, but it's creeped him out nonetheless. Even with all the money he's earned and him mom had given him, he could never resist the temptation to steal anything.
He lives with his stepdad and grandmother. His mother had perished in a car accident when he was five. He didn't know anything about his dad, but he remembered the lovely stories his mom had told him. Stories of a handsome, golden-haired man who was kind and sweet. He was very busy, but he took time out of his busy schedule to be with his mom. That is, until he left mysteriously with just a note telling of his love for her. Nova wishes he remembered more, but he was happy with what he knew.

- Erin Peake - Nova and Erin met in Manhattan and Nova attempted to flirt with her. Erin found it cute, considering how much younger than her he is. When he asked her to stay for dinner, she tried to decline, but in the end she didn't have to as they were attacked by a monster. Erin and Nova fought it off together and she took him to camp.
