Background[]
Brian being a larger built guy, took to football with a passion. Being able to knock heads without actually hurting them acted as a great way to release stress. He also took to martial arts, specifically Ju-Jitsu. It was a form similar to wrestling in a lot of ways. Brian was teased in public school in early grades because he would accidentally write Brain Wood instead of Brian, a side effect from his dyslexia. He earned the nickname Wood Brain to add further embarrassment. Brian's father decided to have him schooled at home, and in things more important in his mind. Brain's father was a member of the National Guard for California, and members of several community emergency response teams. Brian learned much in physical labor, physics, and critical and quick thinking skills. Brian's mother had left them both when Brian was young. Brian has been to England in field trips and taken by his father, and enjoys much of the history from that time.
Camp Jupiter[]
Brian had actually gone for a daily run, partly running from a werewolf named Lupus, a servant of Lycaon, who had managed to track him down as a demi-god, and had noticed Clancy Ward and Jack Copperfield guarding the tunnel that led to camp, to which Brian was oblivious. The three of them ended up having to face down Lupus and a few of his own minions, in which they were successful. He was then recognized as a son of Bellona when a wind spirit delivered a package to Brian. Inside the package was 3 letters of recondmendations from past romans who had been watching his progress, along with a letter to Praetor Reyna and a set of armor, which was specially designed as a combination of english knights and roman legionaire armor, and was accompanied by a large broadsword. All of these were a red color with a gold trim, the colors of Bellona. He then was recruited into the 1st cohort and became a responsible, determined soldier with much potential.
